EIT, Inc. is looking to hire a Senior Environmental Safety and Health professional who is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
Responsibilities:
This position involves providing Environmental, Occupational, Safety, and Health (EOSH) Support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ. The work requires inspection of all FAA buildings and structures periodically and as required to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, to perform job hazard analysis when required, and prepare and conduct training of personnel. Performance on the job involves walking, standing, bending or climbing and carrying of small and light objects; Individuals must be capable of being medically fit to wear a respirator also.
Requirements
Board Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Bachelor’s degree, with at least 24 semester-hours of study related to occupational safety & health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering and industrial psychology
At least ten (10) years’ experience in the field of Safety in the following areas:
- Occupational Safety & Health and/or Environmental Sciences.
- Knowledge of environmental and occupational safety laws and regulations.
- Environmental point source monitoring and pollutant analyses.
- Asbestos surveys, sampling, subcontractor supervision.
- AHERA regulations and project support.
- OSHA required safety training of personnel
- Development of training and subsequent tracking of required training.
- Indoor air quality
- Job hazard analysis
- Confined space entry
- Knowledgeable of OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations
